Salesforce Stock Rises on Improving AI Growth Trends

Salesforce stock climbed on October 12, 2026, after Bank of America upgraded its rating on the company. The decision reflects growing confidence in Salesforce’s ability to earn more revenue from artificial intelligence (AI) products. Investors are watching closely as the company expands its AI tools for businesses.

Bank of America analyst Tal Liani upgraded Salesforce from Underperform to Buy and set a price target of $285. The move came after Salesforce shares had fallen around 13% in 2026. Following the upgrade, the stock rose 3.3% to nearly $237.

Why Bank of America Upgraded Salesforce Stock

The main reason behind the upgrade is Salesforce’s approach to enterprise AI. The company combines business data, existing software, AI agents, and conversational tools to help organizations automate tasks.

According to Liani, Salesforce offers a broad system for businesses adopting AI. Its existing products, including Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, already manage important customer information, workflows, and business processes. AI tools can build on this foundation rather than requiring companies to replace their systems.

Bank of America also believes concerns about businesses switching to AI-based alternatives may be overstated. AI could make established business platforms more useful by adding automation and smarter ways to access information.

Agentforce Revenue Shows Progress

Salesforce’s Agentforce platform is an important part of its AI strategy. These AI agents can perform tasks and help businesses manage work with less manual effort.

The company reported that annual recurring revenue from Agentforce and other AI-based products reached $1.5 billion in its second quarter, compared with $1.2 billion in the previous quarter. This increase suggests that demand for its AI offerings is developing.

Salesforce is also exploring new pricing models. Instead of relying only on traditional software subscriptions, it is moving toward consumption-based pricing for AI agents. This approach links revenue more closely to how much customers use these tools.

Salesforce’s Expanding AI Partnerships

At its Dreamforce conference in September, Salesforce introduced AIforce, designed to connect company data, workflows, and AI agents with Anthropic’s Claude system, Slack, and other workplace tools.

The company has also expanded its partnership with Anthropic. These efforts aim to make AI easier to use within everyday business applications.

What Salesforce’s Stock Ratings Show

Salesforce had a Composite Rating of 95 out of 99, according to Investor’s Business Daily. This rating combines several measures of stock performance and business growth.

However, its Accumulation/Distribution Rating was D+, indicating that recent price and trading-volume activity did not show strong institutional buying.

The improving AI business offers Salesforce a potential growth opportunity, but investors should also consider competition, customer demand, and the company’s ability to turn AI adoption into sustainable profits. Stock prices can change quickly, so the latest financial results and market conditions remain important.
